As a teacher, Peter is always seeking new possibilities to passionately share his knowledge of music and piano playing.

JÄRNA FESTIVAL ACADEMY

[previously known as Ytterjärna Piano Academy]

Founded by Peter Friis Johansson and Jakob Koranyi, Järna Festival Academy is a non-profit organization that invites pianists and cellists age 15 and above to participate in a week long masterclass summer course. The festival takes place 2-8 of July.

Lessons: Each student will receive 4,5 hours of individual lessons. Most lessons will be private but some will also be open to the public.

 
Perform: Participate in at least one concert and perform on the top class Steinway D.

 
Practice: Grand pianos and practice rooms are available round-the-clock.

 
Eat: At Ytterjärna Café who serve only locally produced, organic food of top quality.

 
Sleep: At the unique Ytterjärna Hotell. Students share double-rooms, upgrading to single-rooms is possible at a fee.


Socialize: Meet people of your own age that share your love for music making!

Since the fall of 2015, Peter has been teaching at Mälardalen University, Västerås. Mälardalen Univeristy is one of Sweden's biggest univeristies with over 14.000 students. The school runs a chamber music programme for all orchestral instruments, as well as piano and voice.

Apart from teaching at Mälardalen University, Peter is giving an appreciated series of lectures concerning rethorics and history of ideas at Ågesta Folkhögskola.
