RECORDINGS

Netzel/Sandström/Tarrodi
Piano Concertos with GSO
My latest disc presents the fruits of my effort of commissioning new works as well as unearthing overlooked masterpieces of Swedish. The CD features one older, unfinished work with a completion by myself, and two commissions made on my initiative. All three concertos were premièred between 2017 and 2020.
Recorded with Ryan Bancroft and the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. Official release in November 2022.

At home with Hugo Alfvén
Songs and Piano Pieces
Hugo Alfvén is one of Sweden’s principal composers, with works that struck a chord with a wide audience. As a result of his popularity, a nationwide collection was held in celebration of his 70th birthday in 1942, with the proceeds used to build Alfvéngården, the composer’s home during his final years.
Now, 80 years later, Elin Rombo and Peter Friis Johansson are releasing their tribute to Alfvén’s 150th anniversary, recorded at Alfvéngården using the composer’s own piano.

Helena Munktell
Chamber Works
This is the first ever album devoted to the chamber music of Helena Munktell, one of the earliest female composers in Sweden.
The CD features the grand Violin sonata, the Dix Melodies for soprano and piano, and the Kleines Trio. It was recorded in Giresta Kyrka in 2019 together with Tobias Ringborg, Sofie Asplund and Kristina Winiarski.

Brahms & Britten sonatas
with Jakob Koranyi
My very first commercial recording was done in 2006 with my dear friend and colleague cellist Jakob Koranyi.
The CD features the cello sonata by Benjamin Britten and Johannes Brahms' first cello sonata and was released on Caprice Records.

RECITALS

Franz Schubert:
The complete Sonatas
Performing completet cycles of the Schubert Sonatas is one of my most beloved and demanding current solo endeavours. The project encompasses the elven completed sonatas that are performed over four recitals.
The project was premiered in 2014 and has since been heard across the globe.

Experimental recital:
The Final Frontier
Premiered at the prestigious series 'Piano Visions' at the Swedish Academy of the Arts in Stockholm 2016, The Final Frontier aims to be a complete rethinking of the concept of a piano recital by utilizing cuting edge technical solutions.
To boldly go where no man (or woman) has ever gone before...

Lecture recital:
Being E.T.A. Hoffmann
The lecture recital Being E.T.A. Hoffmann (I huvudet på E.T.A. Hoffmann) was premiered at Folkoperan in Stockholm 2015 as a companion piece to their highly celebrated rendition of Les contes d'Hoffmann. The project tells the story of the ever elusive E.T.A. Hoffmann and his tremendous impact on the history of music.
Being E.T.A. Hoffmann is available as a 55 minutes or 2x35 minutes performance
